I got my first car today after checking out dealerships for forever!
It was a long and difficult process that started a week ago. Generally, I wanted a new, sporty hatchback. I loved the style of them so much in recent years. So with that in mind, over the past week I took some serious looks into the Chevy Sonic, the Ford Focus...and even considered the new 2013 Dodge Dart that's just hitting dealership lots.
Of these, I fell in love with the Focus. A pewter-colored hatchback model, looking sporty as heck. BUT...in the end, we took a drive into a Kia dealership...just for the pure heck of it. There, my mom pointed out a vibrant blue Kia Forte hatchback. To be honest, at first I wasn't too thrilled by it. It's looks were a little more subtle, the blue was...rather bright to me. But...when I took it for a test drive, when I saw all the options it had crammed into it, how smooth the ride was compared to the others, how it felt, aaaaall that stuff...and...I was sold right then and there. In the end, it was only about a thousand more than the Focus after negotiations, and boy, was it worth it. SOOOO much more than the Focus I was looking at for just a tick more.
So, everyone! May I introduce you to my new baby. Here's my brand new Kia Forte SX Hatchback! =3

The leather seats, the stitching, the heated seats, the sunroof, the optional manual paddle shifting, the phone connectivity, the alloy wheels, and more! Just...like...so much cool stuff! I'm spazzing out I'm so excited over it all!

Before I was looking at new cars, I was eyeing up a friend's Hyundai Tiburon he was trying to sell. Damn, that's a sexy car! In fact, Hyundai's whole lineup is looking so amazing these days. The Genesis...that's gotta be one of the sexiest cars on the road right now. The Sonata is a wonderfully nice, quality car. The Veloster is cool as heck (three doors, WTF AWESOME). XD
I think all the Genesis models are to die for. They're all so sleek and awesome looking! X3

Now all I gotta do it name it! I wasn't expecting a Kia, so...the names I had for the Ford or Chevy won't apply anymore (they were car specific) XD

It'd be fun to plan something for a weekend sometime. I miss yooooou! D=

Though...I don't wanna pay for a parking pass on campus. So, I'll still be biking to classes. Bike is still much faster to travel on on campus anyway. ^^
Me, I'm torn between a Hyundai Genesis Coupe V6, or a Subaru BRZ and throwing a supercharger into it. I'll have to see what the BRZ STi looks like (assuming they're working on one).
Coupes and hatchbacks forever! Well, I wouldn't mind if the fastback made a comeback, too.
But yeah. The mention of "Kia" was a bit of a cringe for me at first. But damn! This car had a ton of stuff and it drove so much better. The test drive was all it took to change my mind. Warranties were also much better.
Mine's not Japanese, but Koreans still eat rice. XD

I remember at McDonalds, a guy who came in to drive thru a couple times had one. It needed a bit of work too, but dang...it still looked fun!

I got Reiko an '81 El Camino yesterday. Needs work but its still a good car.
And yeah! He told me just up there! Get her fixed up and shining soon. It'll be a real fun car to have! I've always loved them ^^

It does have optional manual shifting, though. Paddle shifters on the steering wheel. It's nifty, not quite necessary xD
