so last night, Yoshi decided to be yoshi AND EAT EVERYTHING...I Left the room for a few minutes and he hopped onto my desk, pulled down a full pack of gum and ate almost all the remaining peices. Turns out it contained Xylitol...a common sweetener that is more toxic than chocolate to dogs..Causes Hypoglycemia and liver failure. We ended up rushing him to the vet who tried to induce vomiting, only two of the peices came up, which meant he still might have reached a toxic dose per his small body size. So now they are keeping an eye on him for a few days, they had to keep his blood sugar up somehow last night but he apparently is getting more stable..now just have to wait and see if he is going to go thorugh liver failure...Lesson learned...do not buy anything with Xylitol..it might turn into a $2000 pack of gum like mine did :/
