Lately I've felt overwhelmed by the amount of things I have yet to learn in art. I know it'll be a never ending quest of quenching my thirst for new techniques and bettering my art-but I feel like I haven't varied my work enough in the three years I seriously started to work on my art.
I briefly felt horribly depressed because I felt like I would never be able to achieve the skill level I wanted. How on earth could I improve my skill if there were so many things I needed to learn how to draw? I quickly hopped on the interwebs to search for books and tutorials geared toward extremely specific topics. I referred back to books I already owned, searched comic books for what I would need to achieve, looked through maaannny works of art-but then I stumbled upon this site:
www.ctrlpaint.com
After watching a few videos, I realized my knowledge of just the basics was extremely lacking. I jump to details too quickly because I feel like I might not get the look that I want. This leads to bad anatomy, proportions looking off, figures off balanced, wonky colors etc.
I just need to start all over.
I won't be uploading much at all unless it's something completed and *I* like it. On that note, there is going to be a gallery wipe tomorrow night. If there's anything you'd like to keep, I'd suggest saving it. There's little I'd like to save.
I'm looking forward to this reboot. I'm looking forward to attain new knowledge to better my work and get me closer to my goals.
Have a lovely weekend <3

Sometime you should stream some of these practices, that would be neat. c:
Oooh really? Haha I've thought about it before, but I'm always like "pfft, no one wants to see me do silly warm ups scribbles!"
That's what I get for thinking :|
