I did NOT accuse anyone of art theft. Stop freaking out.

So, after I made the "mean look" icons after wanting one for a while when I first saw the Haunter gif floating around, someone saw my icons and made one of their own. Which is perfectly fine because I don't own the original idea. I was merely annoyed that they looked similar to mine (not copied line for line, but jeez).
All I said was that they looked similar. I did NOT accuse anyone of art theft. I also did NOT send my "fan base" over to this guy's account to attack him. They all did that on their own. The entire time this was happening, I had people over for my birthday for the weekend. Today, I checked my messages briefly (still have people over until the 31st) and came back to people attacking me for what others are doing.
So just stop. Know your facts before you freak out.

It's one thing to defend a friend, it's another to do it blindly.
I'm sorry all this random drama sparked up while you weren't even paying attention.
I guess there's no real solution other than allowing the artist to stand up for themselves if they haven't already said they appreciate what the watchers do in that case.
