Heeey hehe I hope you have/had a great birthday. As for your dilemma and seeking advice... I'm not sure. I've tried to run with a similar idea with having an alternate form/character, but I never acted on it for the time being. Though for you, best wishes though on that - sorry I couldn't be of much help >.<

Happy birthday from one 'phin to another. I know where you're coming from with the second character. I developed Akea Grommet, aka Robert, my raccoon character, as a supplement to Akeakami, my 'phin form. Dolphins are great, but they don't translate to land areas very well. So with the opening of all the mostly land-based virtual worlds, I figured I needed a land character. Raccoons were on my short list when another friend needed a raccoon male singing lead for a female singing group. That made the decision easy and Robert was born.

I'd suggest making a list of those animals you like the best, then list out the advantages and disadvantages for each species. More important, think about how your new character would interact with other characters. That should help with your decision.
