u.u i can relate to number 1. it sucks pigs when people don't do their half.

also, i must be the only person on the interwebs not to have a tumbler.

I know. I like being nice and doing occasional request binges and art trades. I even tell them that I accept sketches for my half if they're busy! I give a lot of time, and sometimes even let it go if it seems like it's taking forever. BUT THIS IS THE FOURTH TIME FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE.

Please get a tumblr, ohmygoodness. They're so much fun!

ug yes! i'm the same. but it's kinda like 'why should i?' i've even had people take on more trades and stuff without finishing their half and then completely snob me when i try and ask about how they're going with their half. kinda made me not want to do art trades.

are they? they look like fun.

=__= That really sucks. I think that's one of the reasons why I don't take trades... And I've learned from experience never to do requests.
I'm really sorry to hear about it. I'm sure a lot of other artists are gonna miss out because of these butt heads. -hugs-

It's alright, it's not that big a deal. If I do art-trades, it'll be between people I know personally/on a closer level, and there will be a time limit. We give each other our trades at the same time, or bust. All or nothing.

X3 Niceness is good but not when it affects you too harshly. I'm sure by stating you won't take them doesn't make you out to be a bad person.
But I can also understand not doing trades. I always am nervous myself to take them as I feel like I may not completely my end of the bargain and it always makes me nervous.
^^ But close friends and otherwise is a good idea. At least you have a greater chance of receiving the end product.

I absolutely hate when people flake on art trades. One of the very first ones I did, the person never said or mentioned anything about it ever again...I was upset because I was working through a funk in order to get it done in enough time. :/

But I love art trades! They're so much fun.

I love doing requests and trades as long as I know I can do it. And once I know I can, I try to put everything into the picture. It's all I focus on until their picture is done. So when nothing happens on the other person's end, it's kind've upsetting.

Yeah, it's a nice break, especially when you're sitting there trying to draw casually and you're like DERP, WHAT TO DRAW. It's a shame that some people have to mess that up.
