i personally use prismacolors, and I know several other people who use copics. One benefit of copics over prismas is you buy ink cartridges not whole new markers when one runs out, and they have a TON more colours. prismas are great though because they still cover almost all the colours I'd need with their 156ish i think it is.
I think it's like, prismas are good quality professional markers, copics are one step up from that for when you have the money lol
I thought about Prismacolor too, but I couldn't find any online store with good shipping prices ._.''
For some reason, I found Copics with better shipping price, so they would cost less in the end lol
I use Copic markers. They sell it here in Brazil and I can send you the link if you want.
I like the Copics because they have refills and are really ease o use and blend. I'm sure you'll learn how to use it in a no time.
I haven't had much experiences with the various pastel types, though I know Rembrandt tends be a little hard but still lays down well, and Sennelier tends to be more velvety and soft in my experience. It really depends on what you like in terms of how the various brands act, and I think a lot of artists who work in pastels mix brands.

I don't have budget for it... At least, not now...
That's why I'm looking for online stores outside the country.
I hope that helps! :)
