Well my new graphics card is a radeon 7850 plus I have two hdd's and 4 sticks of ram. I'm not exactly sure buti think might need a little more than a 450W power supply

I have two 8gigs which replaced four 4gigs (from 2010, I bought the 8gigs earlier this year) but since my old mobo could only handle a max of 16gigs which left me with two slots open and a stack of ddr3 I couldn't use. With the new one I can put in two 8 gig sticks and two 4 gig sticks if I wanted to

I have one running a Radeon 5870, 2 sticks of ram, a dual core at 3Ghz and 3 hdds and 1 dvd drive. On a 450W power supply.
I think you can run your system on 450W as well...

I went through the same shit with my last MoBo 6_9;;, I feel you son augh. Though actually you can still get the computer to run with broken pins..it just won't recognize all of your RAM memory 8B;;;

You really should switch to Intel if you can. I know AMD is a little cheaper, that's why I bought from them my first time. However, the Intel chips just work so much better. x3 Also for power supplies, I recommend OCZ.

I used to work for AMD so I feel I have the authority to say... the new FX chips are not worth bothering with. There's some chance that some updates in Windows 8 will improve their performance, but I'm not putting money that it will be worth it, and certainly not in the short term.

The 3.2 Ghz one is likely enough, unless you want the unlocked 3.4 Ghz one for overclocking (not super likely I bet though).
Also I recommend spending the cash on a better CPU fan if you don't have one already.
