Eh, various changes and edits from people mispronouncing mine :P Started as Pharanx Shino from my SL avatar, then went to Leon Shino, but it just didnt sound right with it, then finaly, thanks to my story and some on the spot names...finnaly, there was Leon Sarambi.

I got my name from a hot dog restaurant in Sana Monica.
I always thought the name was cool.

As for Ukkio, well, my old Pally in Everquest was called "Ukko" and i just make it sound more girly =)

when i first started it was BAD... that stood for Bastard... i switched to Duo and i had 1 types of artwork. comictype and furry artwork... 2 personalitys.. 2 minds. then it became Duo..... ive been Duo since late 2005 i belive.

Honestly I was a huge LionKing fan when I first got into the whole anthro/fur scene and I just made up a name that I thought sounded sorta LionKingish.....but it just ended up being me throwing a bunch of stuff together until I found something that sounded good.....it is also complete irony that there is someone who actually has a real name "Bayru" If you google it you'll get his info. Funny how ironic life can be sometimes.

I think my name serves a trifold purpose:

A) I'm very much a Realist in the outlook-on-life sense of the word
B) I go for a toony-style in my art, infused with as much realistic body structure as possible
C) It rolls off the tongue nicely~ =3

I had another account name here but some of my friends here a while back commented on my art and then trashed it behind my back and I wanted to start anew. The name came from vengence and anger

I needed a new name to shed off the chains of my previous relationship. So my mate named me ^_^ He's good at that kind of stuff. I just fleshed out what I look like and the minor details like last name and such.

For me, at first my name used to be "Foxx McCloud" because thee Fox McCloud is one of my favorite characters in the world...and I guess I was closely mimicking him. In 2K4, I slowly drifted away from using "Foxx McCloud" and just used "Foxx" as my name. Then for some reason, I started to call myself "The Meta Foxx" and the name Meta just stuck out for me, and to pay homage to one of my favorite games, Starfox, I decided to use "Star" as a middle name with Meta as the first name. Thus, we have "Meta S. Foxx". I know for many the name "Meta" is girl's name, but then again, other names, like say "Ashley" have been used to name males (and I once knew a guy named Ashley back in Army BCT), so I guess I'm starting a new name trend by making the name Meta a male's name.

Back when I was first introduced to the internet with my first net connection, I was told to choose an alias for net safety reasons. I was totally stumped as to what to use. My cousin suggested using the name of one of my RPG characters, the last one I had played before moving was in a TMNT campaign. So I just used the condensed form my mutant mouse character's nickname, The Cat's Nightmare. Then from there it just became my standard. (no coincidence he happened to be a fave character from that RPG)

I made a character named Gaeron a long time ago. He evolved from being a master mage to being a spellbreaker, but at the same time I made him, I also created a Redwall fan fic with a cat named Gaeron. It was just a name I made up.

Drasska actually started out as a guy and was named Drassk. After RPing as Drassk for a while, I turned him into a girl, named him Lieta and gave the title Drassk to her, but it didn't sound right, so I said that the feminine version of Drassk is Drasska. And the rest is history.

Okay, Here's how mine came to be...

I was looking at Yerf at one time, and then I saw
a picture of Max BlackRabbit, Gene Catlow, a black
wolf in a business suit, and Sully Fox.

I also looked at a National Geographic and found a
picture of a Macropus bernardus (black wallaroo-
a smaller species of kangaroo), and went from there.

A long time ago, somewhere around 1990, Waccoon was just a character of mine, and he was utterly retarded, with just a pinch of psycho. The name pretty much picked itself. The first time I played him on a MUCK, I freaked people out because I was going around asking them for shiny things. By 1993, I toned down his personality and chose him as my avatar, when I started drawing for fanzines. Despite a major character redesign in 1999, I've been using that name as-is for over 15 years, even before I was on the Internet.

The name isn't terribly original. I've seen many other Waccoons out there. Of course, many of them have stopped since I became more popular, and I know at least one of them is really pissed because people confused him with me.

Oh my, actually I *didn't* chose an alias for the fandom - my fursona inherited it from my character from Ultima 6 (how many years ago it was?-) who was named as an homage to Roger Zelazny, one of my fav writers...
