So, what's with all the racism in this country as of late. It kind of sucks. If you have any misconceptions about brown people, cast out your corrupt thoughts. If you don't the black panthers are going to break into your home and steal your TV and your bike and rape anything light skinned and female. But for serious I'm getting fed up with all the race cracks (and many people will tell you that I've been a phenomenally good sport about them). Let me tell you, the best way to get onto my bad side is to approach me and suggest I grow an afro and go stand by the entrance of the nearest pool and inform patrons that the pool is indeed closed. I don't -think- there are very many furs hanging nooses off trees or anything, but how long until things go from "shoop da woop" to full blown aids? I mean, racism? "I hate you, even if you are a fire kitsune, and now I am going to cause a scene" drama may not be too far off, because in many other groups and sub-groups it is becoming more apparent as well.
But seriously, I notice it a lot among furries. Why would race even come into play with people who masquerade as feral beasts? I'm pretty concerned about this because being a person of color (or otherwise known to people I have been intimate with, "Hot Sexual Chocolate) it is very important to me that I don't feel like I'm treated like shit because of my race. What especially bugs me is reservations about interracial relationships (admittedly because I do have a thing for dorky white guys hurrhurr).
In America race relations were never really resolved, I think, just kind of swept under the carpet. All the many different peoples living here still seem to have a seething resentment of each other for various reasons. I am just concerned as to why it is so prevalent among young people, notably gay people, and specifically furry people of any orientation or sex.
I want thoughts from deep fried people, mayonnaise people, and rice people. Oh and any variation between or offshoot (tortilla people, curry people, falafel people, etc).
Also I want to let you know that I made this journal post without any idea of what was going to appear when my fingers started moving.

Seeing as how I mostly observe people I've noticed it alot lately too. Don't really know whats happening... Anyway I will continue to observe and watch.
I'm not suggesting a special task force or anything, but at least in my life I'm not going to stand for it anymore.
Granted, General public racism is on the decline (Jim Crow Laws.....anyone?) But there will always be the blanket of hate against the 'mayonnaise' and the 'caramel/hot chocolate'.
Wanna know HOW stupid people get? look up ethnic slurs on Wikipedia.... the origins of almost all of them are completely laughable.
Sure we can drink from the same water fountain now by law, but there's more to racism than segregation and stereotyping.

Furries, as much as I'd hate to admit, most are the dregs of society. we have our scientists and higher-ups, yes, but they're VERY FEW. Most are interested in a quick yiff, or young-meaningless-love. Ugh, Now I'm blanket-statementing....

I am not particularly phased by the use of the word "nigger" because more than often it is not used against me, but when people like Sharpton bemoan the word's use and stamp their feet and pout and cry, it provokes people who would use it against me to be more likely to use it and try to get some kind of a response.
What's bothering me lately are things like people saying "Oh Kajidoh, you're not a nigger, but every black person you know and all those people standing over there and everyone in your family is a nigger. I'm not racist by the way!" Of course that's an exaggeration but it does really bother me when people, white people or otherwise call other black people niggers, especially in my presence.
And while it may seem that furries are mostly full of miscreants and ne'er-do-wells, I think that furries are actually filled mostly of normal people, just vastly overshadowed by bullshiters.
I'd like to say it's the previous racist generation trying to infect the new, young, impressionable sheep-like minds....
