Even if you don't find anybody to go with, you're so close, you should still go. Even if for just a day or something. You could take a camera and document it, National Geographic style (either in still photos or video, if those are allowed), for SCIENCE. As much as I complain about furries, if I lived ten minutes away from the anthrocon con center, I would probably go, just once, to see what all the MURR was about. Then I would probably complain, but I do that all the time, anyway.
