I believe it is because it was originally a challenge to do 100 sketches in 100 days (think Iron Chef). Over time, it came to describe doing a bunch of fast, cheap commissions.

I heard from Caedere already. You should try to snag a slot: I wouldn't mind seeing Thabi do another one of your characteres, and I already suggested that Featherduster get one too :p
