Darksiders 2

So far my experience with the game has been very fun. Ive only just finished the first chapter in The Forge Lands and am on my way to meet The Lord of Bones. In the realm of difficulty, normal is pretty easy but not without its challeneges. This game, to me, is like what you get when you take Legend of Zelda:OoT, Darksiders 1, and Dantes Inferno and throw them into a Quisinart blender on frappe! The puzzles can be, well, pretty damn puzzling at times but everyone should be able to figure them out. The armor and weapons upgrade system is very nice, though alot of time youll get drops that are damned useless but if nothing else they sell pretty good to vendors. The talent trees system is ok, not quite what I was imagining but ok, sure. Dust, your trusty corvid companion, is very useful. Unlike Navi, noisy git, Dust will simply fly around at a distance until you have need of him or, somestimes if you stand still, he'll just plop down on your shoulder. With a few of the boss battles you can definately feel like your playing Shadow of The Colossus, which is a welcome change from the typical "OMG Im trapped in a small room...OH NOES a boss battle in a confined space!" The world is much more open as well and there is even a fast travel mechanic for the map. XD The story telling element is very well done here. Anything you were left wondering in Darksiders 1 is mostly answered in D2...mostly. Im not terribly far in so Ive got some story yet to unlock. And yes, there is a purpose to the glowy thingy in Death's chest. Death is delightfully more animated than his brother, War, who is all "Me am WAR, SERIOUS BUSINESS!" Death is alittle more talkative, and he even cracks jokes now and then with dashes of sarcasm. All in all Im really having fun with this so far. For you RPG fans, this is a must. More to come in my end game report. Tea. Earl Grey. Hot. Farewell for now.
My brother got that game ages ago for our shared console. There seemed to be so little instruction, it took us days of running around to find something, then we spent a week trying to do more than pinpricks to the very first colossus....(didn't figure out tricks lol). We gave it up, then one day months or years later came back to it, had our little "aha!" moment and proceeded to beat the game (kind of similar to Ocarina, except with lots more stops and starts lol)
God, those were the golden days of gaming....no reviews or walkthroughs, just buy it and play it. Raw effort and skill went into it, countless joyful and frustrating hours. *daydreams*
sorry, wha? oh! Yeah, i never played Darksiders 1, and might have seen some ads but don't remember much about it. If i decide to look for a game, now i'll definitely put it on my list!
