I feel like the TT system could be mush better, I mean it could be worse like dA's. I feel that more users should be chosen to sort through the TT's in other words make up a group for TT's only. A staff just for the TT's might work out well and it would get them looked at and taken care of much faster.

The admins here do what they can but I feel there is no consistency among them. For example, I can report cub porn to one admin and they will say. It's not cub they say so in the desc. Yet another admin will say, Its been removed and the artist has been warned.

I feel that the first users to be looked at to become admins or mods should be VETERAN users. The admins keep this site going for free its not like they gain from it so I feel that they get to much flack sometimes.

I think this site is running -ok- but I KNOW it could be much better. I mean unlike most sites, the admins here actually TELL US about upcoming updates and possible changes. Not many sites do that, instead they just do it and piss off alot more people that way.

Personally though I think that the admins need to focus LESS on the LOOK of the website and focus MORE ont he MECHANICS of this website. I mean so what it looks pretty? If it runs like crap then its not going to be worth the gamble to try it out.

I feel liek the user's opinions are not take seriously UNLESS its the opinions the admins share in common with them. For example.

Lots of users were against the bigger thumbnails, but there was alot that likes them. Since the admins like them its almost like we were being told to stfo or gtfo if we said we don't like the idea. I hate the thumbnails so I'm glad they let us choose the size however, that COULD have been avoided if they let us have that option int he first place.

So for a TL;DR version

FA is a good website and has a simple design which is good. The admins are a lil sketchy in some areas, but not to bad, needs improvement. Upgrades to the sites performance should be #1 priority, not the layout of the site in order to make it look pretty. I feel the admins need to keep a NEUTRAL attitude when dealing with YAY'S and NAY'S.

Those are my 2 cents.

You're going to get a lot of non-specific generic no-context complaints.

This isnt really about complain but more about how well the community views the mods and admins. Please remember, this is not about who is right or who is wrong and we all respect everyone's opinions here. This is really about the general image the moderator community has created. All 'non-specific no-context complaints' are actually general statements or examples in which a person is showing how, at times, they have issues with what the mods are doing.

Take nothing here personal as when a person is speaking about mods/admins they refer to them as a whole or section. Not one individual person. View this as a way to see how people actually feel about the moderator community. Just as the Furry Fandom has a bad rap so do you mods. Some things are stigmas and hypothetical scenarios while others might be facts. Not that im saying there are/arent things wrong with the mods here but no one is perfect and one bad apple can ruin a bunch.

There's no context, no explaning what the 'bias' is. This is a good example of most of non-specific-issue complaints I see aboutt he administration, and most of the ones about a specific issue? It comes down to they disagree with the administration, THEREFORE the administration is wrong/evil/biased. I recently had an issue with Glitch Art furs - They wanted a second opinion on if their work was acceptable by the AUP or not. I went through many clauses of the AUP to support the arguement that it is, indeed, not - and that while I personally see a few *specific* cases where it could be okay, that isn't the opinion of the administration as a whole, just mine - and that until stated otherwise, they shouldn't post any glitch art."

The user then posted a journal saying "Hey guys it's okay if you do x, y, or z!" with x y and z being the examples/situations I said I personally thought might be okay. I then took down the journal with the notice of "Please do not elaborate or expand on FA's rules without explicit permission from the administration."

I got yelled at for curtailing 'free speech'.

That's just one example, and I can't go into too many others because of Admin/User Confidentiality. But that is the trend - the admins are evil and biased because they don't agree with me. The inverse is true - the admins are fair and just and awesome because they agree with me.

Calling someone out on making a mistake in their arguments is a part of debating! I foresaw many people having an issue with the mods here as to the fact they voted this to be the topic. It is why i left a shout to all of mods/admins listed at the top of the page to give them a chance, like you are, to defend the mods here.

If you can point out, kindly, when someone is making a logical fallacy then with all do respect please point this out to them.

Even though they may or may not be making a good argument they are still stating their opinions and thats what this is all about. Please copy-paste this to them! you make some good arguments and use great examples. take this opportunity to defend yourself against all negative stereo types here.

Well, i see it like this: I am but one group on this site and if people have problems here there is always the block function.

i will remind them however to state facts or use hypothetical scenarios rather then such insulting general statements.

Why does this sounds like you're steering this debate into a dark area:
- No reasoning why this debate would be interesting.
- Using an interjection at the end which could suggest that you don't take this debate serious at all.

The reason why I normally don't take these types of debates seriously is outlined in further comments along this chain. Usually, nothing of substance is actually mentioned. Or addressed.

Meh, give a furry an ounce of power and they will abuse it to no end. (though this is true for much of humanity.) The mods have an extremely obvious bias to them. Please try to use better examples rather then non-specific things from now on. this is not about bashing the mods but pointing out examples on how you think they can improve or proving good examples as to where and when they have done wrong.

I haven't had any problems with mods. The only issue I've had is that things tend to go a little slowly when you're reporting stolen art or something of that nature. However, I believe that's more due to there only being so many people to handle everyone's complaints. I haven't seen any unfair rulings, personally, but I've heard about some. Still, usually when someone complains about being suspended there's more to the story than just what they've said. FA could definitely use a wider base of admins and mods, at least ones who could give most issues a preliminary look to see if it needs attention by a higher-up or not. Given that most non-technical problems are handled by the same people, I'd like seeing more people who are primarily for looking into things like art theft/tracing so that the other mods can more quickly go through issues of a higher standing like scamming.

The admins do their jobs, if you ask me. About a month ago, I reported a pornographic picture that had no mature content warning and they took care of it.

However...I could be wrong, but it seems they are a bit lacking in the technology department. I mean, just look at this site. Technologically, it's stuck in 1997. Some updates would be nice.

I have always supported the administration because they wanted to have that job, they knew there would be a responsibility. The community will hate them and the community will love them. Never a middle ground because they have control over this site, once anything goes wrong it is their fault. When they have to be the judge in the situation, the one with the suspension will always be mad at them. The administration took this job because they wanted to improve the site. In no shape or form does being an admin make you a "popufur" so I know Furaffinity is special to them. Whether their skills are up to the task or if their schedule warrants a changing to put more focus on the site, i can't judge. I honestly could not do a better job.

Evidence of this is recently in the past monthes they have been interactive in improving the site. The beta site was running improvements that the admins could achieve in a short time that the community asked for specifically. I recall when i first came to this site two years ago. There were Denial of Service attacks every week and the site was hacked at least once a month. That hasn't happened for a long while. One can't say the trolls have moved on, because furries are always hated by a growing number of people. Obviously, there aren't as many holes in the system as dissenters like to claim.

The administration has also snipped members that haven't done their job. Members have applied and been denied. When looking for another admin, they look for experience. There is a standard to upkeep.

From this, evidence points to the administration attempting their job with a passion. In many cases they succeed without approval. There is also thought put into who becomes a part of the administration. Can we ask anymore from them?

Very well said. I will personally agree with the love/hate relationship that tends to occur in the community in response to administrative actions. We do our best to be as impartial as possible when dealing with situations that require admin intervention, but it always interests me to no end when people get it in their heads that we 'pick on' certain people, or that we grant others undo privileges. My response to any of that is always the same- on a website containing hundreds of thousands of accounts, do you really think we have time to play favorites?

Now, I do admit that we watch some accounts more than others, but that is reserved for people who tend to be habitual offenders of the same violation. Some see this as us picking on them, but it is only reasonable when viewed as an overall issue. We simply want to ensure that as many accounts as possible stay within the aup, and if there are accounts which stray outside the a up often, we try to keep an eye on them to help them maintain policy without gathering too many simultaneous corrective actions.

I can understand that. If somebody did something wrong to me, i'd be wary of them as well. Thank you for taking care of this site to the best of your ability ^w^

I hate how I've been suspended for something others did. Isn't that great? Post your opinion thats not even harassing in any way, and BAM everyone brands you a troll and reports you for no reason.

I don't mind the admins of this site. They're just doing their job on this site and I really admire the admins of this site and other sites.
