Don't Hate It, Debate It!

An oldie but a goodie: Week #4 - Gay/lesbian marriage rights Do homosexual people have the right to get legally married? Are civil partenerships seen as not being enough? Should the Church be left out of marriage decisions? Does this affect other laws? Could this be a way out of stipulations such as inheritance tax?
I decided on this subject after the news that gay marriage rights have been passed in the UK Parliament. This, however, did give way for questions about incest laws and tax avoidance that may have to be addressed.
This IS a touchy subject, and I ask that everyone stays calm and collected so we can have a proper DEBATE.
Commence!
That is an interesting thing to note though about incest couples.
But.
If they were to make the entire subject more under-the-table and equal to straight marriage (as gay marriage has perks that straight does not), then it wouldn't be as big a deal, people could go about their lives, and it wouldn't be an issue.
