If you've been following our music lately, you'd know that 
and I have made a few collabs lately. Both of us like almost the same genres of music, despite our styles contrasting greatly. He's more of the straight to the point, strong and simple type, I'm more of the dense and very wide type when it comes to synthesizers.
Well, we've both decided to try and remake a song and compare how our styles end up as. You can give it a listen here!

out of curiosity, how do the two of you communicate and exchange project files/midi when collaborating?

It's a turn based thing. We take turns with changing and adding to a project file and we have a shared dropbox folder to transfer files with. Then of course, we chat online to discuss about our changes and suggestions (as well as a lot of other stuff)

And it's a lot easier ever since we've decided to use the same synths so there has never been problems with different setups. We both use the same DAW too.
