Back home, and I may have broken my toe

I made it back home on Saturday night as expected, and after the nightmarish day on Friday, my trip back was extremely smooth and far better than my flights over to Europe.
Then on Monday, while unpacking my suitcase, I stubbed my toe very severely and may have broken it. It is now rather swollen and is all shades of purple, black, and blue. I showed it to my dad this morning (retired physician) and he told me he suspects that while I did not actually break a bone, I most likely completely ruptured the ligament on one side and it will take quite a while to heal, so I may be limping around for the rest of the month while my left baby toe is splinted.
Class starts tomorrow. I am studying more Italian this year and hope all goes smoothly. I will post a more detailed journal at a later time when I am not quite so exhausted, as I had a marvelous trip abroad and really have no idea where to begin talking about it!

I was very sorry to leave Italy, and indeed didn't want to come home, but I am glad to be sleeping in my own bed again.

I hope your classes went well! Mine both went really well today. I am still trying to arrange for another one, so hopefully everything will come together nicely.

It looks like I did in fact not break the bone, as it's feeling quite a bit better already (though is still very colorful).
I do intend to post pictures, though I haven't figured out the best way to handle that just yet as I took about 2000 of them. I'm going to try to organize and clean them up a bit, then decide what to do with them. I definitely want to share them, as I saw quite a few amazing sights.
Classes are looking good, as well! I think I'm going to be in fine shape for a while. :)
