So I notice that I picked up quite a few new watchers here in the two weeks I was gone. I've been too busy to really share much beyond work for a while, so here's a little thing about me before I get fully back into the work grind again. Feel free to fill out and repost!
1. Who are you?
A female. A wife (that still sounds weird). Married 2 years. A cat-lover and cat-owner. I used to be a dog-owner and I plan to be again. Currently a renter and apartment dweller but we are making plans to buy a house over the next 6 months. Fursuit-maker. Artist.
2. What are the 3 most important things everyone should know about you?
I do not accept nonsense from people. I do expect perfection from everyone and myself. But I also do realize both of those ideals are going to fall short at times.
3. When you aren't doing memes like this one what are you doing?
Working. If not physically with my hands then researching or administrating. I do my share of tv watching and internet surfing though. I also chat with friends and have a standing online play date once a week.
4. List your classes in school from the ones you like the most to the ones you like the least (or if you are out of school, think of the classes you did like and didn't like at the time).
I've been out of school long enough at this point that it's hard to even remember who I was back then XD I was always good at English class. And art class. Very very bad at math class. I failed grade 3 math I recall because I thought memorizing the multiplication tables was a waste of my time. I would have failed computers in high school because I can't homerow type but the teacher passed me anyways because I was a good student.
I did well enough in school without really trying, so I never studied - even in college. It was a running joke. I've never approved of the 'memorization of facts and figures' style of teaching so I would read ahead and learn extra about things that interested me and bugger the rest.
5. What is your biggest goal for this year?
Definitely biuying and moving into that house
6. Where do you want to be in 5 years?
I've given up trying to predict my future XD
7. What stage of life are you in right now?
Married and settled and deciding what the next stage of life should be.
8. Are you more child-like or childish?
Both. I enjoy playing, being exuberant, and acting younger than I am with people I'm close to and I don't really want to have to grow up and be a serious adult 24/7.
9. What is the last thing you said out loud?
Telling Beetle to stop jabbing me with his claws while he slept on my chest.
10. What song comes closest to how you feel about your life right now?
Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up) by Florence and the machine. The song is very interpretive so it tends to fit no matter what is going on
11. Have you ever taken martial arts classes?
Yes. Karate. Only one year but I think I learned a lot from it
12. Does your life tend to get better or worse or does it just stay the same?
Long periods of the same and then a sudden jump in better. repeat.
13. Does time really heal all wounds?
Not sure all. But it helps you forget and put a new spin on the memories.
14. How do you handle a rainy day?
I live in southern California now so days and days of constant rain are behind me I'm afraid. Books were always good.
15. Which is worse...losing your luggage or having to sort out tangled holiday lights?
Silly question for anyone that has actually had their luggage lost. At least the lights can be chucked out and new ones bought. Luggage can be much harder and more costly to replace.
16. How is (or was) your relationship with your parents?
Can't complain. I've always been closest to my mother but my dad and I have no ill will. We just have nothing in common to talk about :p
17. Do you tend to be aware of what is going on around you?
Not in the slightest. I've very oblivious
18. What is the truest thing that you know?
love is worth the sacrifices.
19. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A vet. For many years. Then I actually followed a vet around one day and realized cutting holes in living animals didn't look very fun. Then I didn't know but knew it would be some kind of natural world thing so I went to college for biology and science. Then I decided that all jobs suck when I'm expected to toe the line other people draw and I decided to be an artist and work for myself.
20. Have you ever been given a second chance?
I don't think I've ever done anything so bad that I needed another chance. And if I was then I was oblivious to it :p I'm not impulsive so if I make a decision then it's the one that will stand.
21. Are you more of a giver or a taker?
Hard question. I can be pretty selfish if given the chance but my morals stops me from taking anything that I don't think can be spared or that is not being given freely. I am happy to give, but some times need a reminder. As a kid I had a really hard time knowing when to say thank you >< But I got yelled at enough that it became more second nature eventually
22. Do you make your decisions with an open heart/mind?
No idea what that means. My decisions are usually made by what would be best for keeping the peace between everyone and making the greatest number of people happy.
23. What is the most physically painful thing that has ever happened to you?
Lady-time cramps. Nothing else has gotten me laid up in bed with a fever - sweating, body ache, hot flashes, and throwing up - while at the same time as feeling the sharper ache of a huge corkscrew biting through you from the inside out.
24. What is the most emotionally painful thing that has ever happened to you?
Being made to feel abandoned. I think this is a common one for people.
25. Who have you hugged today?
My husband as I selfishly tried to keep him from going to work and staying with me for a few minutes longer ;)
