Sorry for doing the disappearing act.
I have been checking occasionally for messages but for the most part I've been busy doing non-furry endeavors.
This past weekend I was on a team for another 48 Hour Film Project, I'll let you know more about that once we get it online to show.
I've ordered a Bamboo Tablet and am practicing with it (If anyone has any tablet tips I'd be most appreciative, I can't seem to get it to create decent curved lines.)
Shaun and I have been working on a short film script using (contemporary) Native American themes. We both like what we have so far which is something of a first for us.
I've also been fighting a very stubborn (if lowkey) cold for over a month. The sneezing has finally went away but I have an earache that's killing me.
Netflix has also proven to be more addictive than I bargained on, I'm finding all sorts of weird and obscure titles that I've always wanted to see.
I've had almost ZERO inclination to draw. Though I do have things I want to draw. I'm hoping finally having a tablet will jump-start my muse.

FA+

The hardest part for me has been twofold: one is getting used to watching the screen while drawing on the tablet. The other is making adjustments for size in my brain while doing so, since the work area is about 3x5 on mine and the work area on the screen is much larger.
All I can say is practice, practice, practice. And save for a proper tablet monitor someday.
Practice is one thing, but there has got to be a way to tweak the sensitivity settings on this thing.
The best program I've found is Alias Sketchbook, which I got through unsavory means (yarrrr...). While only very basic in it's functionality as a very user-friendly paint program, it has great sensitivity for the tablet. Since all I'm doing is basic line art, it works. Also people have spoken highly of OpenCanvas, but I've not used it much.
I might have to check out OpenCanvas since I think that thing is what people do tandem art with online.
