MFF 2012
I shall be attending MFF 2012. Flights are booked, hotel room is reserved, and membership is purchased. I shall be in the company of my honey bunny
ideno, at least when he's not out gallivanting as a deer.
Let me just remind you all of a couple of my requests, for the good of the fandom and the convention:
1. Don't babble about how drunk you are/were/are going to be. Having been to a few cons at this point, I can authoritatively state that almost certainly you are not as drunk as you think you are, and nobody thinks it makes you look or sound cool. If you can speedwalk across the hotel lobby and talk without slurring a word, you are at most a little buzzed.
2. Engage people in conversation, but don't just talk at them, especially uninvited. I know there are a lot of lonely furries in the fandom, and we're a very welcoming group, but nothing creeps people out than an unknown person wandering up and inflicting words at them. Introduce yourself and make friends, but realize that no one else lives in your mind. Conversation is a two-way street.
3. And remember the 6/2/1 rule. Six hours of sleep, two meals, and one shower, at a minimum, every day. Preferably eight hours, three meals, and as many showers as are indicated based on your activity level, every day.
4. And have fun. That's the most important thing.
See you all in Chicago.
