Dential stuff.

Most of this year I have been working on getting my teeth taken care of. The issues with my job caused a major set back having to use my income tax return for rent rather then on them. In April I had the week from hell getting "fired" turning 30 and being told by my dentist that I needed 5 teeth pulled, bad condition 2 wisdom and one that would just be an extra because nothing would be below it. On top of that my dentist no longer works with my insurance.
When I went to the dental surgeon this August, It took two months to get in there. I planned on only having the one most trouble-some tooth removed. It turned quickly into still removing all 5 under full sedation. This would cost me $!475 out of pocket after my insurance. I started saving up money.
I don't know how the conversation started into it but one of the customers I was helping out happens to work for billing of another dentist. I had mentioned only the cost of sedation She said at where she worked it would cost about a $100 less. I took the chance and called them up yesterday to see what they could do. They had an opening with morning to do a consult on the extractions.
The consult took a quick change when they asked if I wanted my trouble tooth out today, with just local. I was surprised asked them about some of the possible issues that came up. They didn't see the situation as being as bad.
So for $47 I had that tooth pulled Instead of $612. The one root broke but they pulled that out with little trouble. Here is the other kicker, they are sure they can save my other tooth. The news is the crown and root canal will cost $1,700. Yes its a more money then before I can keep the tooth.

That's fantastic! Second opinions are always good to consider.
