X POSTING THIS JOURNAL FOR EVERYONE OUT THERE. MY COUSIN HAS SPECIAL NEEDS AND I HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED FROM SCHOOL FOR ASSHOLES LIKE THIS PICKING ON SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS OR HIM.

I normally don't post things like this here, but since I'm in total disbelief after reading this, am royally pissed about it, and know that some of my old college friends watch me here... plus there's the chance that some of my other watchers live in the area, here we are...
I logged into my Facebook account this morning and was greeted by this message from one of my old friends from High School.
"ATTENTION ALL OF MY BAY CITY FRIENDS! PLEASE READ!
As everyone knows my youngest brother, Bradley, has special needs, it's no secret. His entire life he's only ate a few select things and that's never been an issue when we've gone out to eat as a family. Until the other day when my mother, father & Bradley went to Heather's to eat and the owner said that Bradley couldn't eat what he brought with him. Mind you this has never been an issue in his 21 years of life at any other restaurant - locally owned or a franchise. My father repeatedly tried to explain to the owner my brother's situation. In the end my father paid the bill & was told "If you want to come eat here again leave your son at home".
I know that my family and I will no longer support or give any business to Heather's in downtown Bay City when they have an owner that is so small and close-minded. I am absolutely appalled and stunned that someone could say such a hateful thing!
I'm especially furious because with being a teacher I try to educate my students to accept and embrace others differences and to not bully others. Yet here we are and apparently I need to pay a visit to my hometown and teach a lesson to a grown man about this concept."
This is a message to anyone in the Tri City, Michigan area. Do not eat at Heather's in Downtown Bay City because apparently unethical treatment of special needs kids is on the menu! As a business owner myself, I can say that this is one thing that you do not say to customers. Period.

I've been there a few times, I only live like 45 mins away... but christ... if the owner is going to be that much of a jerk. I'll let my family in the area and friends of it as well.
