Officially? I think he said I was not able to preform my job because I couldn't work the debit machine or something.

We got new debit machines awhile ago. They work kind of strangely- the customer can actually change the amount they are paying (whether on purpose or by accident) by pressing any of the number keys. The debit thing is not connected to the computer system in any way so we just have to double check the amount on the receipt before they leave to make sure they paid what they were supposed to. I did it once a while back for a $12 total and offered to pay it back and he refused.... But apparently a few days ago I did it again, only this time for a total of like $150 or something.
The worst part is that I don't even recall this one happening. :/

I mean yeah totally my fault.... but aaargh.
I've been working on cash for like... almost 4 years and this never happens at my other job.

Oh i never thought to ask, did you clear 3 months (90 days) before this happened? If so you can come back at them if they haven't given you your due notice. 1 verbal reprimand, 2 written reprimands, 2 weeks notice is required to get rid of somebody after the 90 day probationary period of employment, failing this, you're also due severance pay on your final cheque.
