Agree.. I get sick of reading it. It automatically causes me NOT to want to meet the person.

Well, it's not that I don't agree, but if *I* was new, and that was the only way *I* could find to communicate with any other furries in my new area, *I'd* certainly use it. Not the calendar events, but certainly a forum posting.

Let's be creative here - if not the FL Furs site, what are other ways new furries can find the rest of us (outside of waiting however long until the next con, where - let's face it - they're not going to meet too many people because there are hundreds of others who are there seeing their old friends, rarely reaching out to a brand new face. You know I'm right about that one. :)

In most cases, the individual is looking for an area specific group. This really kills me when I see them for large areas like Jacksonville or Orlando. There are mailing lists on the very same FL Furs site that they used for sending the Event.

In the few cases where there is a somewhat remote fur looking for contact, I believe we still have a basic mailing list, yes?

agree'd and agree'd, it shopuld be a classified if anything and even that is a stretch, a Personals section woudl be nice, and maybe with a seperate subscription/unsubscribe option

yes or furrymate, but msot people dont seem to knwo about them....maybe we need a central lsit of furry websites that all other furry web sites link to :)
