Replying to comments (etc)

First things first: I'd like to thank everyone who left comments, added my pictures to their favorites or even decided to watch me. :) That means a lot to me!
I recently uploaded quite a bunch of images (well for me that was a lot in one go) and to almost every comment I replied with at least a "thank you". Now I was wondering wether that bothered anyone... if every artist did that, our control panel would be spammed with comments, and we'd check each to see a "thx note" that needs to further reply.
I always thought it was polite to reply, but that might just be me. *shrugs*
Also, "thx for the watch" shouts: I don't leave them *every* time, but often enough (though I check the person's profile first in case they don't like that kinda thing) and was wondering what everyone thought about that.
So that's that... by the way, whatever you might say here, I don't think I'll stop replying to comments entirely (some people leave interesting thoughts that "escalate" into great conversations), don't worry! ^^;;

Actually, I look forward to having comments when I log in.. Sad to say it may sound like I have no life, but replying to comments has become a part of my daily schedule :) Sometimes I get sad when there's no comments to reply to v.v

And it's also nice when the artist acknowladges that you watched them :P although I don't like it when someone says "Thanks for the fav =DDDDDDDDD" and your shout box gets spammed with that, but that's probably just me =/
Though to be honest I might not have figured out the browsing system on FA. The categories alone are far to troubleosme. I check the tiger pictures every now and then, but that's it.
Catenatus however is watching over 1300 and is watched by nearly 500. He tries, bless him, but once he wasn't on for 3 days and had 7000 submissions. On times like that he can't, and just has to skim through. Point being, when it gets hard to check everyones comments and posts and stuff... stop.
I must admit I don't really keep track with who exactly watches me, but I remember those who comment regularly, because - like you said - there aren't that many so one has time to reply and get to know them. :)
