A solemn vow
I have never been great at drawing holiday pictures--or any type of seasonal picture, for that matter. My art is usually completely oblivious to any sort of time frame, so matching seasonal themes with drawing has always been like pulling teeth.
But this year, I am making a promise that I will not miss the best holidays for weight gain-themed art. I will draw a fat turkey in time for Thanksgiving. I might even try to make a candy-stuffing piece before Halloween. I want to do an overindulgent Christmas feast piece. At least one holiday picture--that's my goal. Seriously, I feel like I miss these golden opportunities every year because fall/winter is usually such a hectic time with school and work for me. Well, I won't let that stop me--not this year. I must draw holiday feasting.
Also, hi! I'm trying to pop back to FA every now and then! I'm working on some paid art but it's meant to be private until it's complete--or until certain other things are released with it, ahem--so unfortunately, I have nothing to post until those pieces are all finished. But hopefully I'll have something else to share soon!

I've been doing just fine lately--I hope all is well with you! :3
Your courageous resolution is appreciated, but you could still be excused to wait out until the burden of school has been lifted, and then until the retirement - to take the worries of the work away from you - and then... On second thought, you'd better keep true to your promise. Your style is a very pleasant blend of intense colours and soft shades, and I believe that a seasonal greeting piece would work really well if done by you.
Upholding a tradition of insensitively forcing my preferred examples of artwork and fiction on you, I hereby recommend a certain story series out there featuring a mouse and a python that you might find enjoyable. It is highly suggestive, but concerns itself much more with the tension and psychology of a predator-prey relationship than with the ophidian gastronomical satisfaction as such; it also has some culinary self-indulgence themes. In case you'd muster some time to give it a read, you may start with this chapter, and explore the containing gallery's more recent additions after that.
Felicitous developments to you !
I chuckled at your phrasing--"insensitively forcing," indeed! As if anything you've shared with me has ever fallen short of delightful! XD Oh please.
I've just sampled the beginnings of this story, and I find it quite to my liking! I haven't read many stories with snakes in them--I must confess that I love snakes in a predatory position, ever since seeing Kaa in The Jungle Book. I'll be sure to continue with this! Thank you so much for sharing!
I hope you're doing well--take care!
