Animatronic Tails update

Well folks
I have finally got some more time in the workshop and progressed futher
I am pretty happy with the current results of the powerplant (servo's batteries) and am currently waiting for some more part tyo arrive. Namely the 4/3A size batteries. 4 of these will power the tail and electronics. These batteries will supply 3500ma at 6v which should last even the most enthusastic suiter for a while.
The underlying controller will be a PicAxe 14m2 or 18m2 depending on how inputs and outputs need. Big decision is how to allow the user to program additional tail sequences.
I have also decided to use winch servo's so I can reduce the size of the main pully but still have the torque needed to swing the tail.
The new design also has some safety features re overload protection and a joint section to allow the tail to be sat on, pulled, and otherwise mistreated without straining the servo's too much.

Your suit is going to be quite advanced!, just make it kiddy prof because there going to want to pull on the waging doggy tail like a bell rope! =P
Although it is a difficult decision.. Make the tail breakable incase of an instance where the tail is caught in a vechile door thus dragging the wearer and causing injury.. or having the tail string enough to allow a 5 year old to swing from it..
Take Care
