been sick about the same time with sore throat and alergies that ive recently developed to my pets. i know what its like to be sick for extended times, if there is something ive learned, its that you cant overdose on vitamin c or any water soluble vitamins, aka gel capsules and such. lavender is really good for many things, so is turmeric, in the middle east tumeric is used for a good deal of the meals they have, it has many many benefits, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turmeric
its a great herb, and there is a good combination of spices caled theives oil http://4everylife.com/young-living/.....oil-15-ml.html
this one has a pretty awesome story to it, during the bubonic plague there was a group of theives that went around stealing from the dead and dieng corpses and a king was like "they need to be caught and punished, but first, how are they not dieng from the plague? gaurds go fetch these theives and bring them here so i can dispose of them and find out this secret." a while later the gaurds were present with the theives and the theives under (and here is wherre literary licence comes in cause theres a lot of versions of this story) the promise that their deaths would be quick and so would the mothers death (who was making the oil) be quick as well, told the king the recipe, and the theives were killed and the oil was used and produced. i forget what my teacher said it contained, but there are many many healthy propertys to it and it prevents the bubonic plague, so double the score on that word game.
but yeah, lavender tumeric and lemon balm plants will help you out for a wide variety of things.

i think, but dont quote me on this, lemon balm can take the edge off of depression, not to the point where your not depresed but to the point where you kinda take a small step back from that breaking point, emphasis on small step. lemon balm isnt going to cure depression, but it can help a little with it.
and isnt it awesome i learned all this at an sca (society of creative anachronisms) event. ye olde peoples have some pretty boss knowledge.
i went to a war theese last three days, it was amazing, i will sing the praises of my barony, Ravens Cove. our colours are gold and black, our standard is the greatest of them all, our baron is a master fighter that throws his heavy frame about with ease of pracice and our baroness is colected in mind and kind above all else, our moto is, all may enter and all will feel at home, no one will be turned away from our hospitality.
this weekend at this war there was one man in particular that was of outstanding honer in conduct and in fighting prowes, though i can not acclaim to any first hand experience of this mans battle prowes as of yet, i have heard the tales time and time again from many men who knew not his name, Gundrich the Axe he is the only Gundrich in all of the sca on record as of this journal, he is a stout man that plays d &d and enjoys his accents. he is kind and generous and freindly to a fault.
his storys i will tell one at a time, the first of wich is of the woods battle, it was his first aproved battle of the sca and he took it in stride, making his way through the feild with honer in defending wounded comrads (three on one and he runs in charging from the side, killing one with a cleave of his axe to the head, turning and bringing a mighty swing hard enough to make his foe stumble as his foes sheild was struck so hard as to make it contact the defenders body and push him back three steps, then dispatching the third with a swift double strike and turning to the first as he recovered, he had a small fight that swiftly came to a conclusion in his victory of the small encounter. his freind safe for the moment he wanders off to find more to take to the grave)
he struck the sheild so hard it resounded like a shotgun blast, and all he thought of it in his own words, "well now, someone got a good kill" he didint realize he had done it. everyone else stopped and stared at him for a breif second. another story as he was being flanked, out of the corner of his eye, a foe on his front and his back, he tactfully raised his axe and stabed, over his shoulder, without looking properly, mind you, behind him and stabbed his foes head, only to bring his axe down on his foes shoulder dispatching that one as well.
in the end we had five, FIVE diferent fighters, knights included, come up to our barron and tell him of the batle prowes, the honer, and the skill of gundrich of the axe, our barrony is proud to claim him as our fighter, and i hope to be as just and swift to act as he was, even in the midst of combat seven to two, he charged in bravely swinging and asailing his attackers, claiming glory to his name.
i on the other hand am not fit for battle as of yet, i have not been tested nor proven by my baron, and as such am unfit to draw blades for our cause, instead, i took great pride in being able to show off my rope tying skills to the King of our kingdom, for i tied the great majority of the knots and retied the ones done improper by others, that kept his pavilions aloft,
on a more gentle note, there was a dnace which i atended, after purchasing three rose pins, i went to the dance with them pined to my cloak and under the implication that i would give a rose to the lady that danced with me that night, and all others as well, there was one that danced with me, and she received a beuatifuly crafted rose that had emerald green painted petals on a backing of gold, with wonderous blood ruby red for the flower itself, it was half opened, and it was one that i thought to covet for myself, but after four or five dances and a great deal of fun with this lass, for she was as loud obnoxious and party rigerous as i was, i decided there was noe other that i would rather it be given to, but in the end, she had to leave, for she was aso a knight, and batle over custody of the iligitement child of the baron was the purpose of the war, i bid her a fair night and though i tried to remember her name, i fear i canot as of now recal it, save i beleive it was veronica or something of that sort, i then danced with a nother softer hearted spirit and departed to her a rose, from which i bowed out of my fourth dance with her, having buisness i had need to tend to,
on the next day, i went to the herbalist and there learned of salves and such and for that knowledge i am eternaly greatfull for. i had one last rose to givethis one a bundle of twelve on a pin, it was gold stemed and red headed but in a maner that paled in comparison to the others, but it was still a wonder to look upon, so i gave it to our baroness, and she thanked me for it,
later that day, we had barrons court, it was magnificent, a truly emotional spectacle within our new tight group, we had guests of past kings and queens attend our court as well, special honers to show how well our barony was received within the kingdom. in this procession awards were given to the cook, to the first time event comers such as myself, and to gundrich of the axe.
you see up to this point, gundrich of the axe had been borrowing his axe from master torkul, the baron, it was the only prize the baron had ever won for a battle or war and he was loath to part with it, but after a knight had come during baronial court and given the highest of praises to gundrich, it was as though his mind was eased at his decision and he parted with his prized axe and gave it to gundirch to keep and weild for hisself, it is no exageration i tell you, to say that gundrich literaly carried that axe with every waking step upon reciveing it the first time, and now that it was his, it was never out of his hands.
after baronial court there came kings court, he called al newcomers and first timers to the front, and i had the great honner to step directly infront of him, in the first row smiling and standnig at military attention, untill i realized it was a king, and not a seargent at which i bowed and then proceded to take a knee. i will conceed tot eh notion that our king is a fiesty funny king, he even had the tenacity to call me greedy, silly man, for you see, he too was giving awards to the first timers, and as he was passing them out to the 40 + first timers, one of the tokesn got caught with another on a string, and he almost game me two, but he played it off as though i was the one seeking to double my fortune, hehe, the kings court was slow going but the king made ample jokes and spiced things up, and had a merry time handing out awards and making jest as people needed to be found still at there camps, in the end, the cabbage patch doll or child in question was rightly deamed to our alliences cause, and we had a great time braging of it later. oh and i nearly forget, i am happy to boast of my integrity at the merchents quarters, as well as my ability to speak well to others and barter with prices, for the roses id have gained were priced at 424 dollars total and i took them for 20, i earned a ten dollar mug with a $2.50 plate of brownies, i made my own belt for nigh on nine dollars, when the going price for a lack luster one was 15-25 and i made a cloack pin for 5 dolars where they would have been fifteen minimum and 45 max. i am rather happy that i had such a good haul, about the only thing i bought for full price was a cup loop for my bely as a 7 dollar price, but it was because the man had helped me so much, and i decidedto break down and acquire one,
chuckles softly, i must say, i was quite the envy of my freinds when i told them of my dealings with the merchents. but alas, i am weary of boasting and i feel it extends into bad taste now, so to move on, on the last day, of wich i had a terible sleep, (due to toooooo muuuuuuuuuuuuch water before bed, in excess of five total trips during sleeping hours) we awoke to take down the camp and that we did with haste, our barony being one of the firs to leave and be packed, even though i was a complete and utter lagard the entire time,
all in all, it was trully a marvelous thing to behold and i relish the chance to go again, and to be with my barony and to next time, enjoy a fight with my peirs. i wouldnt trade this for anything in the world and i could not have asked for a better baron nor barrones, nor barony ever, even the pirates were courteios adn offered to share of there liquor and provisions,
i am happy to report i am still and always hve been as sober as the day i was born and do not intend that to change at all, even if i mess with everclear and oils. alas for now i am reporting to my bedfor i still have alergies to deal with after living in a used how pasture for four days and dealing around horses and gaining a sickness from the king himself, (he can keep his royal germs if it pleases his majesty) a sore throat and head ache to match. but i fealt this important to place upon here and indeed it has place a great and wonderful smile upon my proud muzzle, as for this dragons future, i intend to be of japaneese orient, and to keep my most proper name, kazebi tochimezu and inded intend to call myself, kazebi of the rose, for i will hopefully by that time master the art of the oragami rose and be able to spot a lass on the feild and fight for her honer and for her pleasure then report to her after my encounter, handing her a paper rose in the proces. a silly thought i kow, but a very orriginal and quirky one that i agree with so very desirably. alas the hour is late and as of now even the moon is heading its way to bed down for the day, i must follow its stead and rest my poor head, but till then, may the fight stay within you and may your lords and ladies, as proper as they may be find thriftyness in every corner and good humor all around.

I do wish you well in dealing with your allergies to hair and dander, as well as your illness.
an example of an sca battle, its not the one i went to but its the same event, this is a diferent battle and its several years ago, but the same idea, they are wearing real armor and hiting eachother with really thick wooden swords made of solid bamboo, people are getting hurt and people are having fun,
