Angioplasty
Hey guys, figured I'd toss up a post before I head into the hospital at 9am uh... today. Goin in for angioplasty. For those of you who haven't heard, I've got a blockage in my heart, and this procedure is basically that they're gonna run a tube with an uninflated balloon on the end of it into the blockage, inflate it to smash it up, and then install a stent to keep it open. Pretty routine procedure, very low chance of complications. They're gonna be keeping me all day and overnight, then I get to come home the following day (when exactly I'm not sure) and spend the next few days resting and trying not to move too much and recover from the drugs.
I'll see you guys on the flipside! I'll try to post a journal after I return, or at least have Cooper tweet for me to let peeps know I'm alright.
And don't worry, guys.... I'll be okay!

May the angels watch over you and keep you safe. My prayers are with you and your family that all works out as planned.
every confidence that everything will go well. They'll probably put you on Plavix
afterwards to insure that no plaques try to adhere to the stents. You should be fine,
just take your meds and give yourself a break for the next week or so. Good luck
and God bless.
But seriously though, best wishes.
Where they make the incision is going to be VERY weak for a while and coughing or laughing too hard can cause it to start to bleed a bit. Basically take it really easy for a while. The other thing is to not do anything that would get your blood pumping heavily.
My father had a stent fitted over Christmas and a couple months later was back to putting vehicles together. (And is now organising buying some land and a house in the countryside).
It takes a little time but things do get back to normal.
