Writing projects.
For those of you who might still be interesting, I've actually done a fair bit of writing lately. I just haven't managed to finish much thanks to various distractions and crises. Still, in the last two years I have:
- Written what might pass as a sequel to Oseille, which lets Ciara and Niamh face Sabia again and, I hope, fleshes their world out a bit more. Though I've done my best to write it so that it stands on its own, too. It also gives Ciara a baby sister, though that's probably only interesting to me.
- Actually made a halfway decent start on writing Deirdre's history prior to her involvement with Connor and the birth of her daughter. The first part actually starts when Deirdre's about 10 and introduces her parents and her elder sister.
- Made a fresh start on revising The New Girl at Silver Street, which is my second novel and the one that features poor Jessamine as its heroine. I've decided I'm just going to post it to FA as, given its extremely violent themes and anthropomorphic characters, I kind of doubt any publisher will actually touch it. The book is kind of a wreck right now, but I hope to start posting it sometime in 2013.
So I haven't been slacking off too badly, promise! I plan to finish all of these projects up and get them out there for people to read just as soon as I can. Maybe then I can start to build a readership up again. She said with undue optimism.

FA+

I don't let writer's block stop me, either. If I can't write anything new, I've always got several projects running at once so I can always go and polish something up a bit more.
It's so good to hear you're back to the things you enjoy, I do miss your stories and check back through your gallery from time to time. 2013 is definitely going to be a good year for writing!
I'm excited to hear about Deirdre's story being touched upon, too. She's a very lovable character and I think I'd enjoy reading about her also.
It's good to hear from you! I hope all of your crises are over and your mischief managed for now.
I'm really excited to get Deirdre's story done, too. She's one of my very favorite characters, and one of the best I've ever created, if I do say so myself. I've wanted to tell her story for years now and it's great to see it start to fall into place.
Thanks! I hope so, too.
*Snuggles* It's okay, sweetheart. You've had more than enough to deal with on your own, and it's not exactly a cheerful read so it might be better that you didn't get into it before you were ready. When I put it up on FA I will be putting it up in separate chapters, the way I did for Oseille. I think that makes it easier for people to read on a computer screen. I'll probably try to put in those next/previous links for each chapter this time, too. I'm thinking about offering to send people the whole manuscript as a single piece if they prefer it that way, but I don't think it would really work to post it to FA that way. Not when it's 358 pages long!
