I just want to share a little story here, but the situation you state here is close in similarity:

STORY BEGINS!

An FA bondage artist here played a little trick 2 years ago on the 1st of April. He wiped the whole gallery of his and stated that he leaves FA. It was...or rather supposed to be an April's Fool joke...So this "joke" trashed my favorite gallery with blanks. I hate it when art gets removed (any reason) that I favorited, and it leaves a "submission removed" grey square picture in my favorites gallery.

So was I mad about it? Not for that reason. But all the comments were gone. All the dialogues I had with others, and all the opinions all commented were recklessly ignored over a "joke". This artist was always bitching about not having much watcher, yet ignores our comments and favorite collection, and does a move, that makes me wipe the "blanks" in my favorite gallery, and ponder about the good gossip and friendships, that I made while visiting and favoriting artwork in his gallery.

The next step was: He re-uploads all the bondage art. I confronted him about it. Maybe he wants to rub his bondage art in the face of his new watchers? Were the old watchers comments not to his liking? Is he only caring about raising his FA-Stats (comment-gains, and uploaded stuff), etc...??? Was he really expecting ME to re-invent my comments, and give them AGAIN for the newly uploaded artworks?

He made a lame excuse: He was sorry about the joke. It was not thought out, and did not wanted to show disrespect toward anybody. (Lame. He just did that! ) He understands, if we not comment again on his art, nor if we doesn't re-fave them! (And He has the nerve to present me 1-2 year old artwork again, which I liked BEFORE the wipe, but now only angers me to look at!)

So I said him, that he may be a good bondage artist, but he is terrible with peoples feelings, and his April's Fool joke was the lamest thing I saw on this site. I assured him, that as long, as he will upload his "wiped art" i won't fave or comment on them. Not because of my pride, but because I ALREADY DID that, but he DISCARDED that: He clearly wasn't miss those anyway, and I did not want his disrespect.

I watch him ever since. Not supporting him in any way though: Not advertising him, not giving him one favorite. Just watching and occasionally saving a better art-piece. He earned my silent treatment/Passivity is because of the disrespect, that was showing toward every of his old watchers. His art is good, but his person is...less, then noteworthy!

STORY END!

Watch out, not to make that mistake! I understand an account change, but i don't tolerate disrespect! Please leave the old art (with all the comments and faves) on this gallery too! Post old and new art on your new account, but don't throw our comments away, and don't trash our favorite section, making us do the clean-up game! I know you better, than the mentioned bondage-artist, so I suspect, that you aren't going to be as he was. I just shared my story, before you un-intentionally hurt everyone's feelings.

No need to worry. I'm not going to delete anything from this gallery, unless I'm made to by an artist or an admin. The thought never crossed my mind. As you've said, there's too much history here, and I still value the comments that people have left on my submissions here and the conversations that I had concerning submissions and journal entries. I'm not actually planning to abandon this account completely, either. I still check it regularly, and I'm considering using it as my story account. for posting my own work where it won't get lost in a flood of artwork commissions. So no, nothing's going to just get thrown away just because I've moved to a new account and it is my hope to continue to build on the history and friendships I've found here, not cut any ties.

It means a lot that you value the comments and conversations here, too. Thank you.

No problems! I know that this account is now only for Stories, just wanted to be sure, not to loose..."History." And yeah, I always treasure the good and funny comments everyone makes on a submission or a journal. Would be a shame to loose all that!
