"Pride"

Recently I went to my local "Pride" festival (I say pride with quotations because I've never been one to take pride in something I had no hand in (such as my sexuality, race, or place of birth). On a sidewalk across from the front of the street hosting the festival, I'd say ~100 protesters stood. Every one had a CHRISTIAN reason as to why we were "damned," "sinning," or "in need of repentance" for our actions, for expressing who we were, and attempting to promote the acceptance and awareness of all queersexualdom and queergenderdom. In about two hours, they were gone. I don't know if the authorities did it, or if they simply realized the futility of their efforts, but they were gone. If I hadn't been afraid of being attacked, I would have tried to argue with them on their own terms why their thought process was biblically incorrect. Today, I saw a documentary I want every christian who is against homosexuality to see; The Bible Tells Me So.
Another thing about pride; there was nothing for asexuality. At all. I now plan to host an booth on asexuality in next year's festival, so that we may have representation, too.

Also, that always got me, too. There is far less info out there about ace/grey than there should be. That would be awesome if you could get a booth going!
