When Lauren faust developed the show she intended it for wider audiences, she even acknowledged the older watchers and came off really grateful they enjoyed her work. Sometimes it's never too late to learn basic common decency, even if you are an adult. I've seen many adults who would benefit from learning a thing or two about friendship and interaction with our fellow man, even if it is from animated ponies. That doesn't mean you have to like it but at least be aware it wasn't solely directed for children.

I have to agree myself. As a longtime fan of hand-drawn animation, I believe there is nothing stopping you from learning some certain social vaule from animated entertainment.
