What I hate about it is that I'm not there. :P

i don't really doubt the site'll likely function at LEAST marginally better than FA. hell arguably Inkbunny does too. but FA has notoriety. everyone's here. it's known and no matter how buggy or broken it gets it'll still be the most-traffic'd site because of that. nothing against weasyl OR IB, IB is great and i'm sure Weasyl will be/is too, but neither has the tenure FA does.

oh don't get me wrong, i'd love to see a better-functioning site take over as the dominating furry site. but unless FA basically nukes itself i don't really see that happening anytime soon. it's more likely that FA will just scrap its current model and rebuild it from the ground up as a better functioning site, or just improve its current model. (though i think a total rebuild would be better in the long run.)

damn what is it with furries and drama? this is precisely why i didn't get mad at my ex even though i had every reason to. i didn't want to start more drama.
seriously though, what IS it with furs and drama? do we just have drama-magnets implanted in our skulls when we become furry or what?

good points all around actually. though the "pack mentality" bit is really to be expected for two reasons i think. first, we're furs, most (if not all) try and emulate animals in some form or another, and a "pack mentality" is perfect for that. and second, at least in my experience, it's how we were even before the fandom. people who were pretty much outcasts of main society and had to find the few close friends who look out for each other. a kind of second-family. it makes perfect sense to me, and is actually a really good thing, though a conduit for drama.

i do what i can to negate drama on my part. i try not to cause it personally, i will avoid it when i can, and, like the situation with my ex, i will flat-out refuse to start it even when i had good reason. (i had to specifically order my friends not to rage at my ex during the breakup to do that too)

why are so many furs poly-amorous though? you brought that up and got me thinking about it and i can't quite think of a reason for it. i doubt it's just a coincidence

i have no idea really. though i'm neither polyamorous or monogamous.
