Some local gang sent the local police a letter saying that tonight would be a "night of retaliation", so they told everyone to stay at home, or risk getting shot. Sooooooooo...all the parties were cancelled, most of the haunted houses closed early, and the trick-or-treaters stayed home.

Yay for you, you overgrown children - you killed the best night of the year with your stupidity.
