~*♥*~ I like to have variety when it comes to my characters. That's why I have thicker and chubbier characters. Call it a preference since I'm a big girls myself. But it sometimes bothers me when people come up to pictures of Gummi and complain that he's too fat and that they wish he wasn't. This also happens to other chubby characters which makes me wonder why individuals feel the need to jump in and say that. Also, I'm not talking about blobs since those are a waaaaay bigger level and serve as fetish fuel from what I can tell on this site.
Maybe it's the stigma with fat characters on the site that they're only for fetish purposes, that they only eat and can't do anything else.
Maybe it's just personal preference and they just hate fat characters.
Whichever case, it just feels inappropriate to bring it up in a picture depicting the character as such. It's just...rude.
I encourage any body type. They all deserve love.
It's just a thought after waking up.
I'm in the process of drawing a chubby female inspired by Hachi Koi's Kurumi
I will be drawing Gummi in her uniform because...damn. It's cute.

At any rate, keep doing what you're doing!
I enjoy a little reality.
No offense, I'm just confused but your statement.
I was just poking fun at some of the cliché character types out there. :)
Crazy character modifications.
it's a more realistic depiction of people than the stick thin waifs running around.
also, I prefer a woman with curves on her... if I wanted a popsicle stick, I'd look at stick figure porn, not 'realish' characters
And the people most likely to comment are the least likely to think about what they say :V
I like characters with a little bit of chubbiness on them, but I am more about personality anyways.
BIG GIRLS RULE.
That is all.
I feel that I get more negative feed back for Gummi because he's male though. Chubby girl characters seem to get less hate.
I say boo to all those who dont like your characters couse frankly your characters are all so adorable!
Would the character be better another size? Perhaps but my preference shouldn't be counted as wrong.
I'd blame Hollywood, but then again, it might be us sinking into a comfort zone when it comes to art.
I have a bunch of characters and have tried, at the very least, to have a chubby character in my roster as well as a petit one at the very least. Gives me the opportunity to work on drawing different body shapes that way (whether or not I'm good at it).
Despite my avatar Niko's thin looks, I'm actually a bit hefty myself, so have more than one reason to look upon society's obsession with thin people with the utter contempt it barely deserves.
Anyways, I'll happily date anyone regardless of their body size.
*peers around hoping someone single and close to my area heard that* hehe
But who in the right mind would think a slim ursine...
