Heh, actually, I stole the first one from Dave Barry, but it's been so many years since I've seen any of his articles, I probably phrased it wrong. Though, now that you mention it, I might have seen the second one there too.

Truthfully, though, I grabbed that one from when I was given the project to research addresses for international schools, and when I came across that one, I wrote "Awesome name for a band?" in the margin. Then completely forgot about it, until I was done with all 82 pages and went back to actually enter said addresses into the computer. ^_^

I believe you might have been thinking of Nuclear Underpants. (Wow, how do I remember that?) And I know at least one other person who independently thought "St. Vincent and the Grenadines" would be a good band name. Not that it's a hard jump to make. It is kind of prepackaged that way.
