It's a couple of things. By this late in the year I'm usually very short on time off at the day job, if not out of it. So if a con is going to get dropped from my schedule it ends up being MFF. Also due to monthly closing at work they wouldn't have given me the days off even if I had them available. And yeah, by this late in the year I'm hitting burnout on my cons so it's nice to take a couple of months off before travel starts up again in January for FC.

It's not a big deal, I didn't go last year and honestly I didn't really miss it. Teiran enjoys MFF though so he's happy to go.
