I reserve the right to cancel an agreement with a commissioner if I am not able to complete the work. I can and will turn down a project from - or break off an ongoing agreement with - a client who is harassing me.
I promise to keep all clients informed of the status of their commissions via journals and/or e-mails, including cancellations, alterations, and any other necessary updates. Failure of a client to correspond with me can result in a cancellation or being moved to the bottom of the queue.
WORK FLOW:
1) Client approaches with a commission idea in mind, and we negotiate a price, generally based on my usual fees (listed above).
2) I make a sketch of the proposed work, scan it (if traditional media) and send a down-sized preview to the client for approval.
3) Upon receiving approval, I finish the drawing according to the level of work and detail that was agreed upon (sketch, finished pencils, or inks). Finally, I send another preview.
4.1) If the client only wanted inks/b&w pencils or a sketch, I receive payment before I send the full-sized, un-watermarked image via e-mail after they approve the last preview.
4.2) If the client wanted color, I paint the image according to the amount of work they're paying for (flats or full CG) after they approve the last preview.
5) I send one more down-sized preview of the finished full-color image for the client to approve and accept. If the final work is approved, I receive payment before I send the full-sized, un-watermarked image via e-mail after they approve the last preview.
REMEMBER: I give you PROOF that I have completed the work before you pay me, but I DO NOT hand over the finished work until I receive the full and final payment as agreed upon beforehand or altered during subsequent discussion. Thanks for understanding~
