Okay, I don't think I can aptly describe what that looks like other than painful!

It was very painful. XD When it happened, my blood curdling banshee shrieks of pain made my neighbors come out and be all "WTF?" but somehow my bf slept through it! haha

And what I mean is, it's "just" dislocated. Meaning, it was a severe compound fracture, or indeed an open fracture. What pain meds are you on?

Yes, if you count massive amount of bruising. I had about a 6 to 7 inch long bruise on one side of my arm. The other side, under, and the crook of my arm had bruises all over.

When it happened, I felt the bone pop out of place, which stretched the muscles and tendons in ways they weren't supposed to be. I'm sure you can imagine this hurt a lot. The arm remained dislocated for nine hours and during that time my muscles and tendons started to get used to being stretched and out of place. The longer a dislocation sits the worse it becomes. On a scale of 1-10 my pain when it happened was a 10 and remained so until I got drugs to sooth that pain at the hospital. Even then, it was probably around a 7.

The normal side of me is going owwwwwww! on your behalf...but my professional side is morbidly fascinated. I work in an ER, but it's been a while since I've seen an xray quite that vivid. Believe me, if you had come to my hospital you would have had all of the doctors working that day interested in your case.
