There's a lot of rules I've noticed, so here's what I've picked up on.

One, commenting is dying out. No matter who you are, unless you're a BIG artist, it seems like no one's getting as many comments as they used to. I don't know the reason for this.

Two, content is important, not necessarily porn. FA generally prefers attractive canines and felines, in the typical popufur styles, or drastically different ones that are unusual and unique.

Three, gotta post and comment a lot! I think the more active you are on here, the more attention you'll get. Even if it's just sketches and silly comments, the more you appear, the more they'll notice you.

..and porn, but yeah.

THOSE BEING SAID THOUGH, I really liked your most recent picture. I was gonna comment there, but I'm gonna say it here, I really like the colors you used, and the hair looks awesome. I think the only reason it isn't getting attention is 'cause it's human, which is unfortunate.

I'm bad about uploading lots of content, mostly because I don't feel like I have enough people that would watch me anyway, so it's kind've a vicious circle, y'know?

Also, when it comes to FA, as the name implies, people here like furries and animals....and I'm not particularly good at either of those. So, I don't exactly have a high demand.

And the last problem I have is that people here likes the furries, but people on DA have an eye for almost anything. But people on DA also like very high-quality stuff, and I feel like I'm always waaaaay out of my league on there.

*shrugs* So it's like I'm back where I started until I either buy a how-to-draw animals book or just keep practicing my anatomy for DA. aksdhg

Some people on here actually like the anime style, and short faced furries would be simple steps for you to take, all you gotta do is give your people triangle noses xD don't even have to change the feet lol!

But in all honesty I think Kira is half-right, gotta get out there more, Either by commenting, posting every single day, etc...that is how it works on every art site, at least on DA and Weasyl you have a better advantage by joining groups. Fan Art of well known, or currently popular media is also a good way to get noticed I mean look at Her page blew up when she started drawing the DBZ-themed stuff, and her SesshxKag pairing pics as well. :3

I remember when you made mention of catering to popular shows/games/anime. Thing is, I've tried doing a few game art, and I've done Final Fantasy stuff. But I'm not familiar with some of the more popular anime, and I don't want to get into some fanbases like Naruto or Bleach. And I feel like DBZ is definitely Ruu's thing. Lol.

I just want people to like my stuff for what it is. But it still lacks substance and I guess until I learn more, that's just the way it is.

Ever consider taking a few hours out of your days and drawing gift art for some of the popufurs? You can draw people like Artica, Temrin, Teckly, Jinxy, etc... with their permission, get them to post it up with a link to you, and boom, instant watches and faves from people. It seems kinda cheap and shallow, but it is an effective method to get your art recognized. I love commissioning some of the popular artists, because I love their art, and because I like to advertise for them/get Mae advertised.

It is a symbiotic thing. You can also draw nice looking characters for some gift art until you are receiving a steadier "supply" of watchers and faves.

I do requests on occasion and I gift whenever the mood hits me. I haven't done a real request/gift binge in a long time because of a few people I was having troubles with both on here and DA.

Your art is amazing~! And I don't think you should worry so much about faves and comments. Honestly, the more you get the more problems it seems to bring on.
Don't be discouraged. A lot of the time it's just because a lot of people don't browse anymore, so unless you're on the front page when people sign in they probably won't see your work. I just suggest drawing more so you get your face out there more and so you can draw more people in. XD That and I just love seeing your work in general.

^^ Lol. That's totally understandable.
Oh and also, I don't know if you use the tag options, but taking a little time to fill in the species, genders and adding abusing the hell out of the tag box also helps a lot.

I normally do those as well.
