20/11/12 - MIDWEST FURFEST Come and Gone
Welp, its the second morning after and finally I can sit down and get some stuff sorted out.
Ladies and gents, I am pleased to say that this years MFF had been not only my first, but one of the best small-scale cons I've ever been to. I really did enjoy it, and though I missed out a few of the panels I wanted to attend, the sheer fact I was there with two of my best friends made it all the sweeter. But it wasn't just MFF that brought me to Chicago, apparently I had found that my grandfather on my dad's side has quiet a few family over yonder, so I took the liberty of arriving several days before the con to check out what the city had to offer.
Chicago is amazing, I really find the city to not only be beautiful, but clean and very easy to get around. I spent time checking out stores, seeing museums, walking around the parks and eating SO MUCH food there. There wasn't really anything bad to be had aside from the forgetting a hat at my grandfathers cousin place, and losing a sweater I had bought there too at the Con was a bit dermining, but nothing major to make the trip seem bad.
I won't go into much detail, I took a ton of pictures which I may post to my facebook soon enough.
I also want to give a super shout out too all the artists and peeps I met at MFF and that I plan to update my contacts as soon as I can gather the notes I took of your info XD.
