June 25th, 2017 - Change of Summer and much of life.

I'm not sure if many of you have been in this situation, but have you ever felt yourself going in circles without getting anywhere? I feel I'm currently stuck in that sort of situation, one of which that has slowly begun to annoy the ever living crap out of me.
My current job pays the bills, but is boring and monotonous, nothing ever really engages me nor catches my interest to do more than just the bare minimum. I've wanted to move up to a Supervisor position, but the District Manager is a moron. The guy is impossible to nail down, is always at meetings, or never return your calls to follow up. It's not that I haven't done what I need to do to get the position, I have the training to be a Supervisor and have expressed my interest quite frequently in doing it, however, he has told me there were opportunities but he'd have to create them when before he had said there were supervisor positions he needed to fill.
That aside, I'm still waiting to hear from the government job I also applied for, having completed all the testing, interviews, and examinations, it's now a matter of waiting for when they select the new candidates to be trained. This won't be known until Aug-Sept, but I have been hoping they would contact me before then, I wouldn't want to be working and then get an e-mail saying I am hired and would start in a week or so.
What makes this situation harder is I can't go back to school with both these career movements unknown and unsure. I would hate to sort out going back to school and found I got the job or promoted to Sup, so it keeps me stuck where I am, which bother's me greatly.
Hopefully, this will sort out and either the Sup position comes about or the government job goes through, either way, looking ahead and doing what I can to survive!
