Sober MFF Report
Here I am, back now in my element... that is, Montreal, in the middle of a regular work week, and without world-destroying levels of alcohol in my system. And in spite of that fact, I, actually, am still pretty jovial. I think that I seriously have some leftover HAPPY from Midwest Fur Fest still coursing through my system like a drug stubbornly resisting the detox of regular-ass life.
In other words, FUCK YES. I reported back last year that MWFF (That seems to be the acronym they insist on, now) was one of the greatest experiences I've ever enjoyed, and I can say the exact same damn thing again. The people I met, the fun we had, the events we attended, the faces I got to encounter, both new and old... I'm still reeling a little from it all. It was overwhelming, and I want to go back next year, bend over, drop my pants, and let it overwhelm me all over again. :3
HIGHLIGHTS
-My good friend, roomie and travel companion,
Mapdark, who keeps me from going insane in the airports and bus terminals, and who keeps me from doing stupid things, like leaving my passport at the airport security checkpoints. Thanks for keeping me company during both rounds of intrepid international travel. :3
-Roomed again with the classy
emorottie, and got to meet
Havoklee, another awesome dude of a man, both of whom made fantastic roomies along with Map, and... hell, just great friends in general. :D
-Once again, I must heap tremendous thanks and praise upon
PRguitarman, who did exactly what he did last year... which was being a fantastic host to fantastic room parties, a right friendly and jovial fellow to party with, to eat breakfast with, and, alongside
Bauske,
DWalker,
Ebdain,
slyford,
thatoneguy297,
Reginho,
AMWULF,
Lithium,
suck_mcjones and some others whose names I forgot to write down, being the source of the vast majority of the good times I had this con. If anything, I kind of regret doing all that running around and "checking out the rest of the con" nonsense that caused me to miss the majority of that silly glasses party. ^^;
-Meeting the guy who's probably my oldest friend in this fandom,
Griz_Urso, and, after all these years of knowing each other, confirming with him that, yes, I really AM this short. :P
-BELLY RUBBING. Yes, there WAS belly rubbing last year, too... but last year, did I stick my face in between two bearish bellies and motorboat them? The answer is NO, THIS SHIT HAS GONE TO THE NEXT LEVEL.
- Getting to meet another longtime online pal,
silverbatmarch, and watching together as a guy in a Lombax fursuit was stimulated by a remote control prostate massager. SERIOUSLY. THIS HAPPENED. IN PUBLIC. SCANDAL!
-Somewhere, out there on the internet, there is a video of us all doing the Carlton Dance. Find it if you can. ;P
-Foot massages by one
hyenapawz one minute, then using my MMA training to chin-block choke holds from
UnstableBill the next. ............. then more massages. xD
-FINALLY got to see "Whose Lion Is It Anyways" again. I even managed to participate this time! :D I managed to get a whole line in before flubbing and being buzzed out. ^_^
-Hanging with
bigtig, a right nice fellah, and through him, meeting
RokKaiser a man with a Ronso fursuit head. Did I get to try it on? FUCK YES. :D
-Kicking Slenderman off the hallway piano so we could commandeer it for ourselves. Not a smart move, in retrospect...
However, it wasn't all as perfect as I'd hoped, I must confess. See, the exact same reason I love the fuck out of this con... that is, that so many people I love are there, too, is also the double edged sword that is the problem. I spent a lot of time running around, trying to meet so many people, trying to spend some quality time with everybody, that unfortunately, I neglected a few people, namely Griz,
Chocolate_Muscle,
SpelunkerSal ... I feel real shitty about that, and I hope next time I do this, I'll have a better handle on time and budgeting. By that same token, I wrote several names down for people I'd met, but some of those don't seem to be yielding any results when I search for them, meaning that I was probably too drunk to spell them right at the time. If I haven't buzzed you yet, buzz me back so I'll know by how many characters I was off. ^^;
-Other dandy encounters:
shisa,
Donryu,
modem_redpill :3
In closing, concluding, wrapping it up and getting on with it, I just want to say to everyone, absolutely everyone here mentioned and unmentioned (you know who you are)... thank you. The reason this con rocked... rocks... and, in the future, the reason it WILL rock is because of the people I get to be with while I'm there. You all just simply MAKE the experience for me, and I hope, to at least some extent, I made the experience for you, too. :3
Bioxz out.

Thanks, and same to you! Hope to catch you around again next year! :3
Sounds like a total blast was had!
you sure you're sober to fly this plane??
Either way, best o' luck. x3 And judging from the standards shown my the air travel industry over the years, I'm actually not drunk ENOUGH to fly, yet.
I think it's your new avatar. It's distracting me. Yeah, we'll blame my intermittent bouts of stupidity on that.
Great seeing you again, too, and fingers crossed for next year. <3
I'm so going next year if the earth doesn't implode <3 perhaps FCN too!
Hope to be able to meet up with you again next year for more shenanigans, then! :3
Glad you had such a blast though!
Still, that's pretty well my only regret amongst an otherwise fantastic time. Hope to get to see you at one sometime in the future, too, buddeh!
I'm sure we will, if you ever make it out here! If not, well then it'll have to wait till I can afford to travel again.
