Decided to take a foray into game streaming. This week I'll test run it on Tuesday starting at 9PM EST (6PM PST/2AM GMT). The focus of my game streams will be same-screen multiplayer games, mostly from the 8 or 16 bit era. This Tuesday Zoey and I will be playing Super Mario Brothers 3 (SNES version because it saves without savestates) or Super Mario World.
Willing to take suggestions for future games should this come out good. Rules for game selections would be:
- must have 2 - player co-op featured prominently, or 2 - player in alternation
- may be an 8 or 16 bit console game or an arcade game
- games with heavy reading must be in English or be patchable to English (nothing against people that speak other languages, but I'm a stupid American)
- No first person shooters ; I'm wanting this to be a showcase of older games from before the FPS scene took off.
- Steam games are on a case by case basis.
- no MMORPGs. We might do one every now and then on our own accord, but that'll be extremely rare.
If this goes well we'll probably start a regular weekly time, perhaps a bit earlier in the afternoon.
