She enjoys portraying herself as a half-aware and dimwitted beast, drunken in the stupor of her own bodily composure.Glued to this computer, lazing about like a zombie. I haven't slept since 6PM yesterday...
And I'm uncomfortable. /_\ I feel kinda self-conscious about......how I seem presented lately, and my mind is fixated on a plethora of "unseemly" topics... >.>
I will leave you with this
Powerful female characters rock. I've spent this whole evening brainstorming about my lovely muse Chanda, and her son Nigel (in his childhood/teenage years), and I've been wracked with all manner of concerns centered around how their relationship with one another develops in ways that put lots of emphasis on horror themes (because Chanda is over 14 feet tall, of a very powerful "were-creature" build, and Nigel couldn't be anything but about 2 feet tall as a very young child.).
I absolutely love fleshing out the idea of how a small, "normal anthro feline" would interact with a monstrous and brooding feline/dragon hybrid (her physiology is predominately feline, but her anatomy is predominately draconic, with feline characteristics. Digitigrade legs.). She is generally of a very dark personality, and she consistently spends her time thinking like a massive predatory animal. Her thought patterns are nothing short of visceral and malicious; maybe even sadistic and cruel, and she regards her son like she would regard prey. She loves him, but in almost everything she does she treats him like she is progressively abandoning him. Her mind is wicked and manipulative. She purposefully orchestrates his confusion and suffering, as if she were some capricious god figure to him. And being that Nigel is generally very infatuated with massive, monstrous beings, he treats her like a god, revering her due to explicit fears and unswerving respect. And she knows this.
Also worth mentioning is that she is essentially a powerful telepath. Everyone in "Nigel's Reality" (his world in Parasympathy) shares a common ability to "latch onto other people's thoughts" (their "trains"). But few people have the potential to put that quality to use in profound ways. Chanda is so well versed at it that she can manipulate the very bodily movements of anyone "weak enough of mind" who's situated too close to her. In other words, if you're near her, and you're overall mental strength is lacking, she could do things to you that either give you feelings of "heavenly" euphoric bliss, or make you utterly miserable. She enacts the negative side of this on a certain human man who "admires" her (even in unscrupulous ways...), causing him to be overtaken by the illusion (but actual REAL FEELING) of her devouring him...
I have many characters with interesting conceptual designs, colorful personalities, and meaty backhistories, but I'd be a liar if I denied that Chanda and Nigel are my most favorite subject amongst all 41 of them.
"Motherly monsters" are beautiful to me, and are just a very lovely topic to expound upon...
