What's the craziest thing you've ever done?

When I was 12, I pretended to be clinically depressed because I had a bad grade in math and hated being yelled at. This was very stupid, because I was in counseling for like 6 months after that, and they wanted to prescribe me pills. I can laugh about it now, but at the time, it was idiotic.

I love drawing the human form. I always adored figure drawing classes. I could draw naked people all day.

What kind of reaction are you looking for when your viewers look at your works?
I just enjoy sharing my work. I hope that they appreciate it, recognize that it took me a while to get where I am as far as technical skill, but also notice that I'm still growing as an artist. I like to make people happy with my art.

What do you struggle with the most right now with your art?
Deciding what to do with it. I have been considering shifting away from furry, but still painting and drawing animal forms, because I do love to make this kind of work. But furry just does not pay as well as galleries.

If you listen to music when you work, what music do you work the best in, or does it change upon the type of piece your doing?
Music really does effect the pieces, especially subject matter if I don't have a set theme in mind before I start. Lately, I've been listening to Amy Winehouse (as well as watching the trainwreck that is her life), and a lot of Powerglove.

Funniest thing you've seen here on FA.
It was about therianthropes, and it was in MS paint, of a werewolf howling about "Linux and spirit animals and tie dye shirts!" I must seek it out again.

I'm not really sure! I like muscular (but not overly so) bodies, so generally anything along that vein is attractive to me.

If you could go back in time to change anything about your past, would you?
I would become less addicted to the internet. Before I had it here on something other than dial up, I made full comic books. I know social networking really eats into my art time, but when my roommate and boyfriend are at work, I get lonely.

4'x6'. The largest painting I've ever done. The largest art piece I've done in general was a projection with a seating area and a lot of Flash coding involving things with expired copyrights. That was probably 20'x10'x20'.

have you ever regretted meeting someone in person that you have only talked to online? and where do you get your figure reference if you use any?

YES! Jesus christ on a bicycle, YES! Oh, god, it's such a bad idea to do that. People who come across as clean and confident online are sometimes very creepy in real life. Always do internet meeting things in public places, and in groups. Cons, I think, are a lot better for that sort of thing, because in my experience, there's a larger variety to choose from, people are generally in groups, and most of the people there are "normal", so to speak. The extremes tend to make their own groups.

I tend to take my own pictures of animals, but I will occasionally flickr.com search. I also have a lot of books and photos from college that help out.

that is honestly good advice I have had the same thing told to me by countless people. I've had the same experience at cons the weirdest people tend to congregate in their own little groups.

There really is a line between fine art and illustration. It's very strange. I think a piece is great when it's both.
