I updated the fursuit commission status page on my website: http://beetlecatoriginals.com/2011/.....-queue-status/

It is now nearly December and I'm sure folks are wondering when I am going to reopen for new work. Well as you can see in the above link my 'hopeful dates of completion' for this queue have continued to overflow into 2013 which means pushing reopening back further as well.
What have I been doing? Well ears and tail is the biggest work culprit as I chose to expand my operations in those areas (when I had originally planned to do nothing at all but fursuits) which meant having several months where I worked on those instead of costumes. (I am currently considering ways to better integrate both art forms side by side in the future)
As well, we are currently in the middle of buying a house (we have been for several months as we ended up walking away from the first house we made an offer on after a lot of hassle and drama). Assuming this one works out (and everything indicates that it will), we will be moving and renovating and setting up my new workspace in January. Before that happens we will be spending 2+ weeks in Canada with my family for the holidays. We will also be attending Further Confusion in the middle of January. This means that whole time is going to be mostly a wash as far as work goes and I definitely cannot reopen in January like I had originally hoped.
As well, I've decided that I do NOT want a long commission list any more. I severely truncated it for 2012 and yet it still bled over into 2013. This is not fair to my customers or potential customers so, going into the future, I am going to hold only a maximum of 3 fullsuit equivalent commissions in my queue ready to go at any one time.
What this all leads up to is that, as of this time, I DO NOT KNOW when I am going to reopen in 2013. When I do reopen (be it March or maybe later) I am likely only going to take a very limited number of commissions for a while. Hopefully when this means is that, in the long run, I am going to reopen much more often (say every 3 or 4 months) and take 2 or 3 commissions at a time. But this is just a really rough ballpark figure and it could be different.. predicting the future is hard!
I wish I had better news to share or at least could give exact dates and times but I do hope this updated info helps you in your own plans ^_^ I WILL definitely reopen at some point (I am never going to quit making costumes entirely) and I will keep everyone updated :)

if i ever commission someone for a new suit, it will be you!
and as for the auctions, those are cool but the layered bidding makes it impossible for me to win since I'm only looking for a midsized tail with only one color, so of coarse the people who want the large multi-colored tails are going to put up more since they will take more money to make. Id have to place like $250+ bid just to stand a chance, and for what... a tail that is the size of your standard fox tail (maybe smaller) with no markings? It just doesn't make much sense sigh
I think there was a time when you made partials, I'm only guessing.
I thought there was a time once when you offered both partial suits and full suits for commission, I mean.
I could have sworn there was a time when you announced "I'm only making full suits from now on" (For commission)
Something to do with hand paws taking to long?
I may be horribly confused. I try to keep up with various suite makers.
I just suspected with the above in mind when you do receive new commission entries that you might have grown weary of full suits---since you only take full suites for commission there isn't the variety of being commissioned for a partial here and there to break up the bulk of the commission slot.
I'm aware you make ears and tails for your shop. (mostly felines and canine related only)
Recently I took a peek at your order sheet. I don't recall seeing partials listed. Though, it is that time of year when ones mind is more clouded then the snowy surrounding skies. I will have to check again.
