Really guys? Really? Planetside is NOT that srs of busines

Okay, so yeah, I'm newb to the game, and I don't understand all the fine points of balance yet and what's stronger than what and so on.
But I have had, so far, -six- close friends give me an extremely hard time because I like VS.
I don't know crap about the game in honesty. I play it casually and I play it for fun. I like energy weapons and purple is my favorite color, is it any surprise?
This got old the second time it happened, let alone the sixth. I'm on a server where they're even the minority faction, but if I show up on Steam as playing Planetside 2, I invariably get... "Hey, what faction server are you on?" and I cringe because if I answer I'm guaranteed to get the person yelling and blowing up at me followed by an angry cold shoulder and silence. And people wonder why I always try to use invisible mode on Steam while I can =P
Because I make my armor purple in a video game. I also play TR on another server, but no, MUST HATE THE PURPLE.

We have always been the most screwed over because all the devs play TR
The Scythe and Magrider make me think of Dark Reign, too.
