My future situation.
I think this is as good a time to mention this as any, but in January 2013 I have 6 months of military training ahead of me. This is mandatory here in Finland, every male citizen must go trough it. Well, there is another option, but it takes a whole year, so I rather have the military schooling. That being said, it's a bit like a school. Don't know if it needs any further explaining.
It lasts for 6 months minimum but I do get weekends off (exceptions do occur). So the amount of art I can do and post will be reduced due to time restrictions. This honestly sucks. My guitar playing hobby will suffer, my drawing hobby will suffer. Pretty much everything. I want to progress in drawing, but now I know that after 7 months from now, I probably haven't improved much, if at all. It will be it's own experience, but I hate everything that restricts my freedom to do things.
I'll probably be available though for almost every day, our day "ends" at 18:00 or 6 PM after which we have free time. But it's not private nor can I really draw anything except maybe sketching some stuff. I can at least access FA.
Anyway, I hope you understand the lack of stuff starting from January and it really does bug me, but when I do come home on weekends, I try to find some time to draw things. To compensate for the lack of feral bird action from my part, I'll probably commission others to make more while I can't, if financial situation allows me to.
(Looking at
Tuke and
Windpaw)
By doing so, I hope to keep some sort of a flow of feral birds that this place needs more of!
Well, thanks for reading, that's all for now.
If you got any questions, feel free to ask or just comment what you think.
My best wishes to all of you,
John

Well I hope we can see some work from ya then :>
I will certainly try to draw as much as I can, but since I only got two days off each week, I need to spend it right. If I draw for 8 hours in one day and finish one picture, I get little to no time for much else. Yeah. That's how I usually draw.
So, keep watching! I still got time to draw and post more before I have to leave.
It's a very kind gesture to try to get Tuke and Windpaw to draw more birds for us, but, in all honesty, you don't owe us anything (not even the art you draw for us). We do appreciate it, though. <3 You can do that if you want to, just don't feel like it's an obligation you've got to fulfill.
Just take your time and try to enjoy what you've got to put up with and enjoy your time off, too.
Take care and be well, John!
The reason I want more feral bird art in FA is because it's so sparse around here. I know it ain't my obligation per say, but when I started, I took the task of providing and filling that lack of feral avians and I intend to continue as long as I possibly can. I just took it as my duty to try and increase that kind of an art, even if no one else or few would take part. I've only had a little time to do this and there are more birds to draw, but so far I'm glad I started. Even if it's not my obligation, I like to think that it is. My hope is that feral birds would become more popular and they would be drawn more often. But if not, at least I helped provide to those who like it.
And thanks of course go to you guys for encouragement!
